Northern Gateway to hell

In one of the greatest parade of stupidity Enbridge, a company known for its perfect score of over 600 oil spills wants to build a terminal for its pipeline into a magnificent fjord where supertankers would come and be filled up to the brim with this incredibly thick stuff called bitumen which is the shit coming off the Alberta tar sands mess.
The Conservatives and S H itself accused the opponents to the project of being financed by foreign money. This is so demagogic that even the Globe and Mail felt like having an editorial on this one, and other columnists will join:
‘Foreign money’ is a hypocritical diversion by Jeffrey Simpson.
Seeking pipeline common sense, by Margaret Wente

It is so tiresome to have to fight all over again with imbeciles at the helm, our richest money makers are not among the wisest. Fortunately thousands of people have asked to have a say during the hearing the will be going on including members of the First Nations which land is on the trajectory of this pipeline project.
White people also of all tendencies have decided to come out, some never before and Conservatives to say NO to this project as such.
Here are a few of the thousands comments found on The Globe & Mail site:

It is a monumentally stupid plan.

I'm a blue Conservative, but they will lose my vote if this pipeline is constructed. It's madness!

BC has 21 Conservative MP's.
If this group could be convinced
that BC was not supportive
of this project,
Harper would have to pay attention.

I know this is a "radical" and "treasonous" thing to say.
But I don't think that this is a very good idea.
Too much risk of an oil spill.

Politics aside the sobering reality is this is a dangerous route. I've been there and its a nasty place when storms move in. Seven story high waves I wasn't counting the height I was just hoping my azz wouldn't be under them. I was on a deep sea tug built for this type of weather and we were nothing more than a ping pong ball being thrown from trough to trough. I'm an atheist but I had religion until that passage was done!

Stop these insane radicals from shipping oil through Gateway.
It's a disaster waiting to happen.
Can't believe it

Tankers the size these people are talking about will generally take up to two miles to stop dead in the water......Ferries travelling to Newfoundland have to pass through a "channel" which is about three or four times as wide as the ferry's beam....When winds are at 30-40 knots the vessels captain won't even attempt to put into port.......Apply the same situation in BC and you're asking for trouble!!
